Hi Simon, first time Fanfarer here. As a response to the prompt, I'd be interested in writing about a film that's been lost to the sands of time, to some extent: Elia Kazan's 1947 Best Picture winner Gentleman's Agreement, with Gregory Peck, John Garfield, and Dorothy McGuire As a before-its-time story about a journalist posing as a Jew to experience antisemitism, it has contemporary resonance, but it's also problematic in ways that would make for interesting explication.
